What it is
If your motorcycle is coming into Alberta from another province, it may need an out-of-province inspection before it can be registered here.
The inspection checks that the bike meets Alberta’s safety and equipment standards and must be completed through a licensed facility under the province’s Vehicle Inspection Program.

Process
Obtain an inspection request form from any Alberta registry before the appointment.
Inspection time is typically Up to 2 hours, depending on the motorcycle, as all inspections follow the same requirements.
If the bike does not pass, repairs must be completed within 10 days of the original inspection date or another full out of province inspection is required.
After passing, present the certificate of inspection to an Alberta registry agent within 14 days of the completed inspection.
